Sunday’s double Header
What a busy day it was on sunday (14/04/2013) 1st up was the Duke Box in Oakengates, Telford. Oakengates Carnival 2013, carnival Princess and queen pagent. Myself and Ollie Hughes as Robbie Williams performed in front of a strong 150 crowd and what fun we had.
DJ Shutsie from BBC Shropshire Radio was there to host the event as well as my nan ; ) We had our pictures taken for the Shropshire star, but were still waiting for a pictures to be shown in the paper? A great bit of PR for us hopefully. Ian Barton (the club owner) is a good friend of ours, so when he asked us to perform here as well as the actual Carnival in July it was a no brainer.
As soon as this event was over it was pack down and straight to Halesowen, Warwickshire to the Huntingtree. A popular venue who have all sorts of acts on every weekend.
Very friendly crowd (as well as a few slightly drunk) that really made me feel welcome. They especially loved my Madness medley so when that came on they were all up on the dance floor.
By the time i’d finished my set my voice was tired as well as my self, so as much as i enjoy my job i could’nt wait to get home and get some shut eye.
Thursday April 18th i will be perfrom for a very special showcase for UpFront Entertainment at the Village Hotel in Solihull. Plenty of potential booker’s to impress so if that goes well things will really take off for me!
Friday April 19th i’ve had a last minute booking come in for a gig in Burton-on-Trent. So another busy couple of days ahead. No rest for the wicked hey!
My next write up will be on the weekend. Olly Murs will be releasing his 3rd single from his latest album Right Place Right Time very soon. Here’s hoping for Dear Diary, my favourite
